RECYCLE

We’re All About Recycling

Although recycling rates in the U.S. have crept up over the decades, the number still hovers at a dismal 25%. Just 5% of the 220 pounds(!) of plastic the average American consumes each year gets recycled and the rest ends up in landfills where it takes hundreds of years to degrade. We know how confusing recycling can be as it varies from state to state and town to town. We Fill Good is here to be your resource and to provide in-store recycling opportunities.

Recycling at We Fill Good

TerraCycle
Great company that can recycle plastics that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to recycle at home. Come into We Fill Good, grab a bag to fill with your plastics, and bring it back in to sort at our TerraCycle station.

The Bra Recyclers
The Bra Recyclers is a clothing recycling social enterprise, specializing in the reuse of new and pre-loved bras. Their mission is to educate retailers and consumers on the positive social and environmental impacts of recycling lingerie. We Fill Good is an official drop-off location for The Bra Recyclers, so bring your old bras here!

Christmas Lights
Don’t throw out your broken or burned-out strands of holiday lights! Each holiday season, We Fill Good accepts broken and old light strands to recycle for you. Twinkle lights, CFLs, fluorescent bulbs, and incandescents can all be recycled. Sign up for our e-newsletter to be notified when we start this program!

Bottle Caps

Other Recycling Resources

Crayons
Those crayons your kids have outgrown are not biodegradable, unfortunately, and all that wax contributes to overfull landfills. The Crayon Initiative will take your unwanted crayons, melt them down, and remanufacture them for use in art programs at children’s hospitals throughout the U.S.

Electronics
GreenDisk will take not only VHS tapes and CDs, but most other obsolete electronics and accessories. They will securely erase any data on your device and reuse or recycle the components.
